Thank you to Frank Vega for working with AAA dancers this week. Mr. Vega traveled from Houston to work with AAA students. He has performed and taught across the US and Europe, He was the artistic director of La JAZDANZ, a jazz dance company based in LA, for over 12 years.

EMS lost and found: Please reach out to your student's teacher if you recognize any items. Pictures of lost and found are also sent to the teachers to show students in the classroom. Items remaining after 8 weeks will be donated due to limited space.

Coffeehouse is a biannual event where students showcase their performance art, such as song, dance, and spoken word. Visual artists have booths where they can sell their art to anyone in attendance. Join Dr. Roberts on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 5:30 p.m.-6:15 p.m. for a drop-in K-12 community conversation. Dr. Roberts will be in the high school commons area to answer @artsk12.org questions or discuss the vision for the 2022-2023 school year.

Italy Trip 2024 Informational Meeting Tuesday Sept. 20th @ 5:30 in the HS Library Want to travel to Italy with your friends? See Art, History, eat authentic Italian food and experience a whole new culture? Then you won't want to miss a trip with Mrs. McWilliams to see Florence, Rome and Pompeii !! The trip will happen in June of 2024, and is for any students who will have completed 10th grade in 2024 (which means any student who is in 9th grade or above right now).....parents are also allowed to travel with the group! Arkansas Arts Academy Upper Campus is forming an Arts Parent Guild. The Primary Goal of the parent guild is to provide fundraising and volunteer support to the visual and performing arts staff and students of Arkansas Arts Academy. Some activities include organizing parent volunteers for productions, managing the boutique, designing and organizing cast shirts, seeking sponsorships, and organizing cast parties. In addition, parent guild funds support the performing arts field trips, stipends for teachers working outside of contracted hours, fund guest teaching artists, boutique expenses, and other incidentals to help productions and arts events. The meetings will be on the last Tuesday of every month at 6 pm in the commons. We are looking for parents who fulfill all roles. Parent involvement roles include President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Boutique Chair, Communications Chair, Hospitality Chair, and Sponsorship Chair. We also need representatives of all departments, including choir, culinary, dance, fashion, music, theatre, and visual arts.
