
REMINDER: Savannah College of Art and Design is coming to AAA on October 31st! They will offer a presentation providing information on their college and the admissions process, as well as portfolio reviews. Students, to sign up for the presentation, which will take place during 10th-12th grade advisory (11:30-12:20), please use the following link: https://tinyurl.com/SCADpresentation. To sign up for a portfolio review, which will take place from 1 - 4 pm, please use the following link: https://tinyurl.com/SCADportfolioreview. Students are encouraged to sign up quickly, as there are a limited number of spots available. SCAD has also asked that students prepare a fully completed portfolio for the review. Both the presentation and portfolio reviews are available to seniors and juniors, although preference will be given to seniors for portfolio reviews if spots fill up. Make plans to attend El Dia de los Muertos Community Celebration next Thursday, November 2nd at the High School Campus from 5-8:30 pm! This is a collaborative event hosted by Arkansas Arts Academy and City of Rogers.
5-6:30 pm Join us in the HS Commons where students will offer dance and theatrical performances, display works of art, Latin cuisine fundraiser as well as offer art making and arts integration stations with connections to the celebration of El Dia de los Muertos.
6:30 pm a procession will depart from the high school campus to Downtown Rogers. Dancers, marionettes, choir, and a percussion band will lead the audience to the Rogers Historical Museum where the public can pay respects to ancestors at the oferenda, designed and built by students in Spanish classes. The procession continues to the Frisco Plaza where performances by AAA choir, Equilibrium and dance ensemble, chamber orchestra, percussion, and the Rockhoppers will perform.
The event is free and open to the public.

Elementary students and staff ended a fantastic Red Ribbon Week celebration with a fun day of costume dress up and saying Boo to Drugs and Bullying.

El Día de los Muertos preparations are underway. Equilibrium dancers work together to prepare their flower crowns.




AAA cross country runners ran the Gravette Invitational with Kol Doughty placing 12th in the high school boys division with a personal record. Lilly James placed 4th and Emma Kennedy placed 8th in the junior high division.
On Saturday the 10th at Springdale, Lilly James placed 17th and Karleigh Watson placed 20th in the junior high division, both with personal records. Kol Doughty, Anthony Kedrowski, and Emma Kennedy also finished with personal records!
Way to go AAA Cross Country Team!









THANK YOU to all who participated and supported the 9th annual AAA Night @ the Museum at Crystal Bridges Museum last night! The event was a huge success and the students were absolutely FANTASTIC! A big THANK YOU to all the teachers (K-12) that worked with the Arts Integration team to incorporate works from the collection of the Museum into the class curriculum.

AAA high school students visited the elementary campus this morning to collaborate on a poster project! The students worked together to make posters for Red Ribbon Week and then hung them around the school.






7th graders made a poster today for Red Ribbon Week. They hung it up in the main hallway so that all students can sign the pledge to "Be Kind to Your Mind and Live Drug Free!"
