Thursday, August 29th, Mrs. Cannan's dance students traveled to Cyrstal Bridges Museum and The Momentary for a "Dance Chance" Field Trip. The students toured the museum, observing specific artwork and reflecting on the artwork's mood, style, and color. Then, students discussed and demonstrated what sounds and/or dance movements the artwork inspired us to create. Crystal Bridges Museum treated us to lunch, and then we were off to The Momentary to observe a technical rehearsal, participate in a movement workshop, and speak with the choreographers who were presented work in the "Dance Chance" performance. It was a wonderful day of exploring and creating!

Join us on Thursday, Sept. 12th from 5-8 pm in downtown Rogers for the Art on the Bricks celebration! The highlight of the evening will be the official opening of the Academy's A3 Gallery! Yes! AAA has a student gallery located at 228 South 1st street in downtown Rogers. The A3 Gallery will serve as premier gallery space to showcase k-12 creative achievments in visual arts, performances, and collaboration hub for community events. In addition, the space will serve as an extension of the classroom for students to learn gallery skills, apprenticeship opportunities with local artists, attend workshops and coordinate gallery events. We look forward to your attendance to celebrate our new creative and innovative venue - The A3 Gallery!

High School Lost and Found Items
Please come by the front office to see Ms. Darla to claim your items.

This morning during PE, our kindergarteners participated in a GloGerm lab with me. We used a black light to look at the "germs" on our hands. Then we washed our hands to check our handwashing skills. If any glowing "germs" remained on our hands, we washed again. They were so attentive and they worked hard getting their hands clean. Good job, Kindergarten!

Dear High School Parents and Students,
We will be kicking off our first club meetings next Friday. We are excited to bring some fun activities to school each week. One of our clubs is our Lego Design Club. Lego offers several competitions each year where designers can compete to have their creations become actual Lego sets for sale. Ultimately our student designs will be digital for these competitions, however, we still need Legos for the design process. Do you have Legos you would be willing to donate to the school for this club? They don't need to be sets. Random Legos will work. If you would like to donate, please drop them off at the high school office.
Thank you!

HS September Menus!

Nurse Clara and I have received several messages from staff members and families asking what the current COVID policy is for AAA. COVID-19 does not require isolation and return to school is based on the Wellness Policy listed in the AAA Student Handbook (see below). As there is not a public health emergency in place, the school does not carry tests as they are no longer supplied by the Arkansas Department of Health as in previous years.
Please reach out to your campus nurse with any questions.
Thank you,
Katie Milligan, RN (ES)

The Grand Opening for The A3 Gallery will be announced soon. Stay Tuned!

Dear High School Parents,
We had a bit of a snafu at lunch today and, in one of our lunches, we failed to give the extended time to eat that we are giving for this first week while everything is getting figured out. I was tied up in a meeting and failed to get this done. So if your student says they did not have time to eat, that is a legitimate complaint. I am so sorry this happened, and we will do better tomorrow. I really appreciate your patience with us while we figure it all out.
Sincerely,
Jerrie Price
