AAA 4th grade students learn about weaving at the Museum of Native American History Station

Approximately 1200 4th grade students from various schools in Northwest Arkansas, including Arkansas Arts Academy, will visit the Peel Mansion Museum and Heritiage Gardens this week to participate in School Days, an annual educational event held at the Peel Mansion. The program offers living history stations in which elementary students observe, learn and experience the life during the 1800’s in Arkansas.

Arkansas Arts Academy high school theater students performed vignettes within the historic home during the week long School Days event. The young actors activated the parlor and library as members of the Peel family while fourth grade students watched then asked questions about day to day life, hardships and historical events during the late 19th century.
