Choose Love Week
During this week, we are celebrating Jesse Lewis Choose Awareness Month with a Choose Love Awareness Week. Please help by reminding your child and participating in the following acts of kindness.
Monday: Say hi or eat lunch with someone different or needing a friend.
Tuesday: Give one or more compliments.
Wednesday: Write a kind message to someone.
Thursday: Show a kind action toward a student or teacher.
Friday: Dress like a superhero and give a superhero a high-five.
We are also having a donation drive this week for the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter for various art supplies including canvases, washable paints, paint brushes, Sharpies, etc.
My Payments Plus Giveaway
To help boost participation in our school cafeteria program MyPayments Plus is launching a $500 Giveaway beginning next Monday, February 24th, through March 6th. Parents become eligible in this giveaway simply by making a payment to their MyPaymentsPlus account during that time. All payments made on the website, mobile app and via auto pay are eligible. There’s no purchase necessary to be eligible, parents can also submit a postcard to us explaining why they love using MyPaymentsPlus to pay for school lunch.
Uma Kyles Performing at the Walton Arts Center
We would like to announce that Arkansas Arts Academy 6th grader Uma Kyles will be starring in the upcoming production of Sideways Stories From Wayside School at the Walton Arts Center in March. If you want to support one of our students on the big stage, please go here to buy tickets.
K-6 Dance Gala Volunteers Needed
Our Annual Dance Gala is approaching quickly. This is the K-6 dance program's annual celebration event that showcases every student in the dance program as they perform on stage at the high-school Performing Arts Center.
We have a serious need for parent volunteers to help pull this event together. Below are 3 Sign-Up Genius links that list several volunteer positions available in separate departments of the Dance Gala. None of these volunteer commitments will keep you from seeing the show.
