My School, My Museum is an expansion of the existing partnership between Arkansas Arts Academy and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Arts. Click HERE to learn all about this exciting new program that will continue each month for our 3rd and 4th grade classes.
Our 4th Grade students participated in the first EVER My School, My Museum project spending an entire day at the museum. AAA teachers and the arts integration coordinator collaborated with the Crystal Bridges School Programs department to dream up a project that focused on narrative writing, the history of Early American founding documents, and the descriptive imagery that artists leave for us in their works of art. It was wonderful to be a part of the students learning the writing and social studies concepts as they learned about works of art in the museum collection.
