caterpillar

Under the guidance of Mrs. Cerna in a partnership with the Benton County Extension Service an amazing butterfly garden has popped up outside of the 6th grade Center.  This garden has already attracted caterpillars so our students will get to enjoy the life cycle of the butterfly.

Over the summer and already this year Mrs. Cerna has continued to work to ensure the garden is watered and weeded. As a result, the space has blossomed and become a thriving ecosystem filled with caterpillars, bees, flowers, mushrooms, and more.  Today we noticed that caterpillars are forming chrysalides around the space as well.
