Hip Hop
Open to 3rd-6th graders of all dance skill levels.
Dancers will be exposed to several hip hop dance styles and techniques. They will learn musicality, fun choreography and build an energetic community in class.
Hip Hop students will have the opportunity to perform at the end of year recital.
Dance Survey Class
Open only to K-2nd graders. This class is intended for our young, beginner dancers.
They will learn jazz, acro, ballet and hip hop throughout the year and will have
the opportunity to perform at the end of year recital.
Ballet/Pre-Pointe
Open to 3rd-6th graders. Dancers will study classical ballet and pre-pointe. A portion of the year will be dedicated to American Academy of Ballet Awards material and dancers will have the option of participating in the ballet awards adjudication process. More information regarding the ballet awards will be given, once classes begin. This class will have the opportunity to perform at the end of year recital.
G.L.O.W. Dance Ensemble (audition based)
Tuition is $60 and due at the beginning of each month. The months we have school breaks, we will schedule extra practice times to make up for the weeks we will be gone.
GLOW (Giving Light to our World) is our audition based dance ensemble intended for the most advanced and dedicated dancers on the K-6 campus. GLOW meets weekly and trains in several styles including jazz, hip hop, modern and ballet. They participate in performance opportunities within the community, school events and our end-of-year recital. These dancers get the opportunity to work with master teachers and choreographers that visit throughout the year to further their training and dance exposure. They also have the opportunity to travel out of state at least once a year to train and perform with prestigious choreographers and teachers. Tuition Info
After school dance tuition runs on a “punch card” system. You must prepay for a minimum of one $45 punch card (which covers 4 classes), and indicate which class your child will be enrolled in. This will reserve your child’s spot in class. Classes will only be deducted from the punch card as your child attends (you will not pay for class when your child is absent). If your child misses more than 2 consecutive classes without notice, they may lose their spot in class.
You will be notified when it is time to purchase a new punch card and you must purchase one before the next class. Spots are limited and social distancing will be enforced.
NO drop-ins are allowed this year. You must email Mrs. Finley to enroll your dancer in class before they can attend.
After school dance students will be dismissed to go to the dance studio at 3 pm. Be sure to notify your child’s teacher which days they will need to be sent to dance. There is no after school dance when school is not in session.
