Creative Computing Elective Visits Local 3D Printing Company

Ms. Le's 5th/6th grade Creative Computing elective visited NWA3D on Wednesday, January 22nd. The students got a tour of the company's new facilities located in Fayetteville, Ark.

Students learned how the company assembles and packages their 3D printers for customers across the nation.

They showed the students their laser cutter that they have. Some of the parts in the machine are 3D printed.

Several students discussed their knowledge of calibrating the 3D printer and what it takes to print a 3D model.

Drew Wallis, Director of Education, showed the students how they support educators in using their 3D printers through webinars.

Wallis also explained about a project that the team is currently working on.

The students are currently using the company's a5 printers to make their 3D designs come to life.
