AAA 5th Grade Students visit the Walmart Museum

Today the Arkansas Arts Academy 5th grade class visited the Walmart Museum in Bentonville as part of their financial literacy studies. Students in Mrs. Seay’s class have been learning about the necessary skills and knowledge individuals need to have to make informed and effective decisions about their financies. The Walmart Museum showcases how one man, Sam Walton founder of Walmart, was able to make such decisions and build a successful multinational retail corporation.

In addition to the Walmart Museum students also visited the downtown Bentonville Arvest Bank where students learned the importance of banking, visited with different banking employees and toured the vault! Students completed their field experience by celebrating the 100th birthday of Helen Walton, Sam Walton’s wife, with complimentary cupcakes at the Walmart Museum.
