The Arkansas High School Cycling League was organized in 2014, and Arkansas Arts Academy was the first public school to sign on.
Our league is open to both male and female athletes, and students of all abilities—from the beginner to the expert rider. The safety of our student athletes is our number one priority.
Our mountain biking team races competitively through the NICA organization. We will also be continuing to have a mountain bike team for students in grades 6-12. There will be a summer training schedule starting in July. Practices are three times a week starting the week of August 1: Sunday @ 4PM, Tuesday and Thursday @ 6PM. Racing season runs from September-November with four scheduled races on Saturdays or Sundays. Athletes must register with NICA to participate which costs $60. Scholarships are available.
We are committed to the NICA’s Five Core Principles: inclusivity, equality, strong body, strong mind, strong character. Our overall goal is to create life-long cyclists who are conscientious, responsible, and empowered.
