8th Grade Aspire students are learning about democracy, civic engagement, and the importance of voting. After learning that only 4% of registered voters turned out to vote in the recent Rogers special election and that only 40% usually show up for midterms they decided to take action to get out the vote.  Students are providing a community service by writing postcards to registered voters in Benton county. They’re being careful to remain nonpartisan as they remind voters of Election Day, early voting, and where they can find sample ballots and polling places.
