7-12 Campus Summer Update 7/8/2020

Good afternoon!

We are now a month away from re-opening and I wanted to give you an update on what you can expect when.

The K-6 and 7-12 plans for re-opening will be published on Friday, July 10th.  These will provide a list of options and their descriptions along with the precautions we will be taking on each campus to keep both our students and staff as safe as possible.  They will be posted to the website under Covid Resources following the school board meeting on July 14th.  Also following the school board meeting, each family will be sent a form to indicate which option their student will be enrolling in for Fall 2020.  We would like the forms to be returned for each student no later than July 20th.  Parents will have the ability to request a change between options.  Changes will not be immediate and cannot be guaranteed.

At this time, all in-person summer events for large groups on the 7-12 campus are cancelled.  This includes:

  • New Student Social on July 18th from 4-7 pm
  • Graduation Celebration for Class of 2020 on July 17th
  • Incoming Student Orientation on July 30th from 1-2 pm
  • 7th grade Orientation and Promotion on July 31st from 5-7 pm
  • 7-12 Open House on August 4th from 5:30 - 7 pm.

We will be replacing the in-person orientations with virtual orientation presentations that will then be posted on our website.  Parents and students will also be able to sign-up through sign-up genius for small group, socially distanced tours before school begins.  Those sign-ups will be posted at the beginning of next week.  Class of 2020, we are genuinely sorry that we could not celebrate with you in person this year.  We wish you all the best!

School supply lists will be posted on the website by the end of next week.  The 7-12 campus will have one supply list with all classes listed.

Parking spaces for the 2020-2021 school year will go on sale on July 27th starting at 8 am.  Students will have the option of purchasing them online through MyPaymentsPlus or in person in the 7-12 office.  There are 48 student parking spaces available.  Each parking permit costs $50.  Spots are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.  Students who purchase spaces must have a valid driver's license (not a permit) and proof of insurance.

New student schedules will be available in eschool beginning on July 15th.  We will start processing schedule change requests on July 20th.  If a schedule change is needed, your student can submit it using this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe4x6PmuD1M-iLw8MPZwegZBMK6sJ3C1YhP8W9fWhN26MxQcw/viewform  We cannot guarantee that every change requested will be made.

The office on the 7-12 campus is fully staffed through the rest of summer break from 8-3 pm Monday-Thursday and 8-12pm on Fridays.

Please enjoy the rest of your summer!  Expect communication to come frequently from now on.
